Alyssa Daku
Former Chief Data Officer, Public Health Agency of Canada. Alyssa Daku is an Executive Advisor based in Ottawa who works with leaders navigating complex transformation — where data, policy, operations, and people must come into alignment to move forward. She most recently served as Chief Data Officer and Director General, Science, Data and Surveillance Enablement at the Public Health Agency of Canada, and previously as Director General, Innovators' Experience, at Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada. Over the past two decades, she has led large-scale modernization efforts across the country — from municipal systems to national platforms — building and leading high-performing teams and delivering AI, analytics, and interoperability capabilities in some of Canada's most complex environments. Her work sits at the intersection of public systems and innovation. She has partnered with high-growth companies, governments, and cross-sector leaders to navigate regulatory environments, unlock new pathways for growth, and translate strategy into coordinated action. She is often brought in when priorities compete, systems are fragmented, or transformation efforts stall under complexity. Her areas of focus include digital and data transformation, AI adoption and governance, organizational design, interoperability and data strategy, people–technology integration, and multi-jurisdictional and cross-sector alignment. She holds executive education from Harvard Business School.
