AI and Tech Editor, The Globe and Mail. April Fong is AI and Tech Editor for The Globe and Mail's Report on Business. She was recently appointed to the role after serving as Deputy Editor, Personal Finance. A business journalist and newsroom leader, April was previously Executive Editor of The Logic, where she helped shape the publication's editorial strategy, led its flagship newsletter to multiple SABEW Best in Business awards and regularly moderated live events. She has also held senior editorial and digital roles at BNN Bloomberg, the Financial Post and China Economic Review in Shanghai. A passionate advocate for business journalism excellence and greater diversity in media, April mentors young journalists through Shared Bylines, serves on the SABEW Canada committee and has taught Business Reporting at Carleton University's School of Journalism and Communication.
