Dr. Christian Weedbrook

Dr. Christian Weedbrook is the CEO and Founder of Xanadu Quantum Technologies, a Canadian quantum technology company with a mission to build quantum computers that are useful and available to people everywhere. After obtaining a PhD from the University of Queensland and working as a postdoctoral researcher at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Toronto in the field of quantum computing, Dr. Weedbrook determined photonics would be the most credible path for scaling quantum computing and founded Xanadu. Since 2016, the company has been building fault-tolerant quantum computers using light particles, paving the way for quantum computers that can operate at room temperature.
