Head of Verification, Interac. Senior executive with more than 20 years of experience leading digital transformation, digital identity, product innovation, and emerging technology initiatives across Canada's financial services sector. She currently serves as Product Head of Verification at Interac, where she leads the organization's digital trust and verification portfolio, including identity, authentication, verification, and reusable credential services. Under her leadership, Interac has advanced its digital trust strategy and strengthened its role in Canada's evolving digital identity ecosystem. Prior to Interac, Fatema held executive leadership roles at CIBC, where she led enterprise digital strategy, innovation, and emerging technology initiatives that helped accelerate the bank's digital transformation journey. Fatema is recognized as a leader in digital trust, identity, and verification, working across financial institutions, governments, regulators, and industry partners to advance secure and trusted digital experiences for Canadians. She serves as Board Director of the Digital ID & Authentication Council of Canada (DIACC) and Board Vice Chair of Mobey Forum, a global industry association focused on digital financial services innovation. In 2020, she was recognized as one of WXN's Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada. Outside of work, Fatema is deeply committed to climate change advocacy and an avid traveler, she enjoys exploring the world with her family and seeking new adventures whenever possible.
